A Fiber Splicing Engineer is responsible for joining, maintaining, and testing delicate optical fiber cables
What You'll Do
- 1.Strip, clean, cleave, and fuse single or multi-count fiber optic cables within both Outside Plant (OSP) and Inside Plant (ISP) environments using specialized tools.
- 2.Complete and submit daily field reports, closure records, and timesheets to support project timelines
- 3.Troubleshoot and certify network integrity by operating advanced testing equipment like OTDRs (Optical Time Domain Reflectometers), power meters, and fault locators.
