Network Engineer

### Role Overview The **Network Engineer** will be responsible for managing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise network and security infrastructure. The role involves working with **Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet** technologies, along with VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, and network security. The engineer will also handle network incidents, troubleshoot connectivity issues, implement configuration changes, and ensure the **availability, performance, and security of the network infrastructure**.
What You'll Do
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco and Juniper network devices.
- Configure and maintain Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and security.
- Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, and switching.
- Configure and troubleshoot IPsec VPN and site-to-site VPN connections.
- Perform network troubleshooting related to connectivity, routing, switching, and firewall issues.
- Troubleshoot network outages and identify the root cause of incidents.
- Manage firewall policies, NAT, security rules, and related configurations.
- Monitor and respond to network alerts and incidents.
- Perform configuration changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Maintain network documentation, configurations, and troubleshooting records.
- Coordinate with internal teams, ISPs, and vendors for issue resolution.
- Follow network security and change-management procedures.
- Participate in network implementation and infrastructure improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
- 2–6 years of experience in Network Engineering/Support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, DHCP, and ARP.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
- Good knowledge of VLAN, STP, Trunking, Inter-VLAN Routing, and EtherChannel.
- Understanding of OSPF, BGP, Static Routing, NAT, ACLs, and IPsec VPN.
- Strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot using ping, traceroute, logs, and packet captures.
